Culturally Creative Storm Water Project
Storm Water Awareness - EPA Environment Protection Authority & Bourke Shire Council - Bourke 2003
A series of creative workshops were undertaken by the Bourke Shire Council as part of the ‘Culturally Creative Storm Water Project’ for the Environment Protection Authority (EPA). My role was to teach the students basic techniques of digital imaging to create a series of postcards depicting the dire situation of storm water in the Bourke region. The postcards were printed and set in a box of 12 cards and sent to other regions experiencing similar issues around NSW.
This project provided a valuable experience in understanding how photography can be used to create a critical awareness of relevant issues pertaining to a certain group or community of people.
