About PhotoDART
PhotoDART is a small independent business that uses a grassroots approach to photography and new digital media as a tool for community and cultural development and education. It offers an extensive range of participatory photography-based projects and workshops for schools and community groups with the aim of benefiting any community that considers awareness, empowerment and the building of positive attitudes, behaviors and relationships to be crucial for the healthy development of its members and the community as a whole.
A range of projects are available and are designed and facilitated according to the community groups’ needs and available resources. Specific themes may be explored such as cultural awareness, critical thinking, life skills or issue awareness. The projects may also be designed to provide individual and collective experiences of empowerment whilst providing a voice for the communities, social groups and schools that participate.
